An Extra Degree Makes a Difference

WHAT IS THE GOAL?

CRSMCA Member employees at any level can voluntarily participate to learn and train at the CRSMCA sponsored training programs at a very low cost. The training program is designed to increase the knowledge and skills of member company employees making them more valuable to the companies that employ them and build future leaders in the roofing industry.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE?

By participating in the CRSMCA’s Roofing Academy, Master Installer Certification Program, you are committed to improving your personal safety and the safety of your co-workers. You are also elevating the professionalism of the entire roofing industry.  The CRSMCA Roofing Academy is designed to familiarize you with issues and concerns relating to the application of roof systems and those that directly affect your habits and behaviors during your job performance.
The CRSMCA Roofing Academy, Master Installer Certification Program is designed to promote exceptionalism in the application of the roof systems.  It is intended for roofing workers, foremen and supervisors.  It is a culmination of efforts by contractors, manufacturers, suppliers and others who are dedicated to promoting the roofing industry and system applications.

HOW IT WORKS?

CRSMCA Roofing Academy is a training program that gives accreditation to member employees that participate in the CRSMCA Master Installer Program sponsored training sessions as well as (5) job shadows approved by a supervisor.  Training will consist of 1-2 day training sessions, classroom and hands-on activities, over a two-year time frame.
At each training session, the employee will earn a credit to achieve the ultimate goal of becoming a certified applicator of a product with one of the sponsor manufacturers as well as a certification of completion from the CRSMCA Roofing Academy. The CRSMCA Roofing Academy Certification Ceremony will be conducted for the employees that have achieved FULL accreditation status at the Annual Meeting/Summer Convention.

Employees/Participants who receive initial “Master Installer” Certification and has earned a total of 16 credits, will need to maintain their status by earning a minimum of 2 credits per year. If the employee/participant changes companies or does not complete the minimum credit requirements, the “Master Installer” status will be revoked by CRSMCA.
