MISSION STATEMENT
To promote and safeguard the common business interest of its members and to improve conditions by educating all persons concerning the roofing and sheet metal business and industry. To work for the development and progress of the roofing and sheet metal business industry and to work with individuals’ organizations and governmental agencies toward the achievement of a stronger
profession of the roofing and sheet metal industry.
Purpose and Organization
Carolinas Roofing and Sheet Metal Contractors Association is the voice of the roofing and sheet metal industry in North and South Carolina. Since 1943, the organization has worked to
promote and safeguard the common business interests of its members through education, public advocacy, programs and services, and providing a forum for networking. CRSMCA is affiliated with the National Roofing Contractors Association.
Membership
Three classes of membership are available.

CONTRACTORS: Licensed roofing and sheet metal contractors.

ASSOCIATE: Companies that supply, manufacture, distribute, etc products to contractors.

SUSTAINING: Companies that supply a service to contractors.

MEETINGS
Each year, CRSMCA holds an annual meeting, a trade show/convention, District meetings and an annual Golf Tournament.

Annual Meeting/Summer Convention is hosted in June each year to provide a family-fun atmosphere with a golf outing, educational and networking opportunities.

Trade Show/Convention is hosted in January each year that provides roofing industry companies and opportunity to participate as an exhibitor [displaying products/promotional items] or an attendee [to visit with exhibitors]. All attendees are invited to the educational sessions to learn the latest developments in the roofing industry and networking throughout the conference.

District area meetings are hosted from March to May to provide social, networking and educational opportunities in their respective areas.

CRSMCA has a professional staff and headquarters to assist you and your company with your needs and/or requests and are happy to serve you! CRSMCA offers a variety of programs and services that help roofing contractors run their businesses and be more successful. CRSMCA can assist you in educational needs, networking opportunities, company promotion opportunities and more. Training/Education Opportunities
CRSMCA offers a variety training and educational opportunities at conferences, the CRSMCA Lending Library as well as the CRSMCA Facility. The CRSMCA Facility allows members the use of the conference and/or warehouse for training needs at no charge! To utilize the CRSMCA Facility, please contact the CRSMCA office.
CRSMCA's Lending Library carries a collection of roofing industry related training programs in a variety of formats [videos, DVDs, books, manuals available in English and Spanish]. The items are available for purchase or to rent on a weekly basis. CRSMCA can also assist you in your purchasing needs through the NRCA.
Currently, CRSMCA offers the following educational opportunities:

CERTA Train-the-Trainer: During a train-the-trainer workshop, you will complete a 10-hour accreditation program about how to teach torch safety. Through classroom instruction and hands-on torching activities, you learn the latest industry best safety practices for torch-applied roof systems. You also learn the teaching skills needed to train others about torch safety. After successfully completing this program you will be authorized to conduct CERTA certification training for roofing workers. Authorized trainers receive training materials, including an instructors guide, a student manual in English and Spanish and training video. This course will benefit roofing professionals at all levels who need to implement and expand their torch safety programs. Authorized personnel will need to renew their certifications every three-years.

Master Installer Certification Program: Participants will increase the knowledge and skills relating to issues and concerns in the application of roof systems. Participants will attend up to 16-classes that are held over the course of two-years. More information on of the program is available HERE!

Legal Council/Legislative Voice: CRSMCA is partnered with Safran Law Offices. CRSMCA works with Safran Law Offices to stay aware of federal and state level legislative and government affairs within the roofing industry to keep CRSMCA members aware.
